Cookie Policy
The cookies this site uses, what they do, and how to control them.
bookingdownunder.com uses a small number of cookies to keep the site working and to understand how it is used. This page lists what we set and why. The banner on the home page lets you accept or decline, and your choice is remembered.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device to remember things: preferences, session state and anonymous usage patterns. They cannot read other files or run programs. Similar technologies such as local storage do the same job and are covered by this policy in the same way.
2. What we set
We use one functional item: a record of your cookie-banner choice so the banner does not reappear. Where analytics are active they collect anonymised usage data (pages visited, session length, browser type) to help us understand which content works. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are set by this site.
3. Third-party cookies
Content loaded from third parties, such as the embedded map on the contacts page, may set cookies of their own. Those are governed by the third party's own policy rather than this one. We do not control them and recommend reviewing Google's policy if you use the map.
The banner remembers you
Your accept or decline choice is stored in your browser and the banner does not reappear on later visits. Clearing site data resets it.
4. Controlling cookies
The banner on the home page lets you accept or decline, and the choice is stored. Your browser settings can block or delete cookies entirely, though some site features may then work less smoothly. Instructions for common browsers are linked from their help pages.
5. Changes
If we add or remove cookies the policy is updated here with a new revision date. Continued use of the site after an update counts as acceptance of the revised policy.
