Terms of Service
The conditions that govern bookings placed through the Booking Down Under desk and the use of this website.
These terms set the rules for using bookingdownunder.com and for booking services through our desk. By placing a booking or using the site you accept them. Where a hotel or venue imposes its own terms on a reservation, those terms apply to that service in addition to these.
1. What the desk does
Booking Down Under acts as a reservation and coordination desk. When you book a suite, table, transfer or casino service through us we arrange it with the relevant provider and confirm the details to you. The services themselves are delivered by Crown Melbourne and the other operators we coordinate with, each under their own conditions.
2. Bookings and confirmation
A booking is confirmed when we send written confirmation naming the service, date and price. Quotes hold for the period stated on them and then reprice against availability. Deposits where required are payable at confirmation, with the balance terms stated per booking. Casino-related services require guests to be 18 or over and to meet Crown's own entry conditions.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are quoted in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable. Coordination fees are separate from the venue's own charges, which bill directly at the hotel, restaurant or operator. Quoted prices hold for the stated validity period; prices that depend on demand (rooms, event weekends, venue hire) are confirmed against your dates at booking.
The short version
Book in writing, pay the stated deposit, follow the venue rules, and cancel inside the stated window if plans change. The detail above governs where this summary cannot.
4. Changes and cancellations
Changes and cancellations follow the terms stated on your confirmation, which reflect the venue's own policy plus our coordination terms. Flexible-rate accommodation cancels free to 72 hours; most restaurant bookings allow 48 hours; event and venue bookings follow their staged contracts. The detail sits on the Cancellations & Refunds page.
5. Conduct
Guests using casino services must be 18 or over, carry valid photo ID and comply with Crown Melbourne's entry conditions and responsible gaming requirements. Venues can refuse entry or service under their own rules. We do not assist with any request that breaches venue policy, licensing conditions or the law.
6. General
These terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia. If any part of them is unenforceable the rest stands. We may update this page when the service changes; the version posted here with its revision date is the current one. Questions about these terms go to [email protected].
